Murano, Burano and Torcello: half-day tour or vaporetto?
Updated October 11, 2026 · 4 min read
A half-day boat trip is best when you want a sample of Murano and Burano without solving connections; the listing makes Torcello only optional. Go independently by vaporetto if Burano photography, Murano glass or Torcello’s cathedral is the real purpose: organised stops are necessarily short.
The trade-off
The half-day Murano, Burano and Torcello boat trip starts at €25 and lasts roughly 4.5–5.5 hours. Transport is coordinated and the route covers Murano and Burano, with Torcello listed as optional. The cost is pace: boarding, introductions and the stops share the same block of time.
ACTV sells single rides and passes valid for 24, 48, 72 or 168 hours on its urban water and land network, with exclusions listed by the operator. A pass gives freedom to stay, but you must check current lines and last departures. Airport water services are not automatically the same network.
Which island needs time?
Murano rewards visitors who compare a furnace demonstration with the Glass Museum. Burano needs unhurried lanes beyond the busiest coloured canal. Torcello is quieter and interests travellers who want early lagoon history rather than shops.
Choose the tour for one free half-day and a checklist of two or three islands. Choose vaporetto for one or two islands, meals ashore and flexible photography. See further departures among the Murano and Burano island tours.
